Santa Cruz

We were supposed to have left Santa Cruz yesterday afternoon, but were informed before we checked out (only after we´d packed up, of course) that our flight had been cancelled. They said something about the plane not working properly (note: good strategy, as this makes people feel happy their flight was cancelled). Let´s just hope the plane is either properly fixed or that we´ll be using a different one today.

Because we´ve now lost a day in our itinerary, we´ll make up for it by not stopping in Ponta Pora later. According to our tour leaders, this is a border town with nothing in it, and was just meant to break our journey. Instead, we´ll have a 11 hour bus ride from Brazil to Paraguay. Glad they´ve worked it so we won´t miss out on any time in the Pantanal or Bonito, as I´m really looking forward to our excursions there.
